Secondary Rugby League is delivered through the England Talent Pathway (formerly Embed the Pathway) programme.
Delivered in partnership with England Rugby League as a Player Development Club we have utilised our partnership with St Helens RFC to provide free lesson plans & resources aimed at Key Stage 3.
Essentially a curriculum-based resource is handed to teachers at our free CPD sessions which last approximately two hours. Secondary schools in Cornwall have seen great success by delivering as an after school club in the summer term.
Schools who wish to do so may attend our development days which are usually a hybrid of a development day and a 9-a-side competition with St Helens coaches being on hand to deliver all the fun and expertees on the day.
Once you have attended a CPD your school is accredited as an England Player Development school, recognising that the school provides a all the key elements in which a potential England star of the future could be spotted.
The festivals and development days are aimed at Year 7 & 8 boys however girls activity is encouraged (and wildly successful all over the UK), with a seperate ‘Origin’ programme being developed for Year 9 in 2018.
